چکیده
Attractive label-free plasmonic optical fiber sensors can be developed by cleverly choosing the arrangement of nanostructures and other building blocks. Here, final response depends very much on alignment position (stacking) individual elements. In this work, three different types optic sensing geometries fabricated simple layer-by-layer stacking are presented, consisting stimulus-sensitive poly-N-isopropylacrylamide (polyNIPAM) microgel arrays nanohole (NHAs), namely NHA/polyNIPAM, polyNIPAM/NHA, polyNIPAM/NHA/polyNIPAM. Their to a representative stimulus, temperature, is investigated. NHA/polyNIPAM monitors volume phase transition polyNIPAM microgels through changes in spectral amplitude reflection minimum NHA. contrast, polyNIPAM/NHA shows more complex swelling collapse their reflectance spectra. The most pronounced observed monitoring sensor during heating/cooling cycles. Finally, triple stack polyNIPAM/NHA/polyNIPAM at end tip combines advantages double stacks for sensing. unique nanostructure customizable easily adopted applications.

Nonlinear photoemission electron microscopy (PEEM) of nanohole arrays in gold films is used to map propagating surface plasmons (PSPs) launched from lithographically patterned structures. Strong near-field photoemission patterns are observed in the PEEM images, recorded following low angle of incidence irradiation of nanohole arrays with sub-15 fs laser pulses centered at 780 nm. The recorded p...

An important property of electromagnetic fields, which arises from the interaction between fields and chiral molecules, is called optical chirality. By enhancing this field property, while maintaining constant input power, we are able to increase absorption of circularly polarized light by chiral molecules of a certain handedness. This enhancement is achieved through the use of achiral plasmoni...

Surface plasmon resonance (SPR) imaging is a powerful technique for high-throughput, real-time, label-free characterization of molecular interactions in a microarray format. In this paper, we demonstrate SPR imaging with nanohole arrays illuminated by a laser source. Periodic nanoholes couple incident photons into SPs, obviating the need for the prism used in conventional SPR instruments, while...

Large-scale studies of biomolecular interactions required for proteome-level investigations can benefit from a new class of emerging surface plasmon resonance (SPR) sensors: nanohole arrays and surface plasmon (SP) enhanced optical transmission. In this paper we present a real-time, label-free multiplex SPR imaging sensor in a microarray format. The system presented is built around a low-cost m...
